Client and Challenge
Donskoe Polesie is a grocery online store with internal interfaces for staff. The task was to build the client side from scratch, turn design mockups into working interfaces, and connect them to the backend API: catalog, forms, checkout, online payments, and staff data management.
What Was Done
- A Next.js storefront: pages and reusable components, forms, purchase flows, and UI animations.
- Checkout in the storefront; online payments via YooKassa — integrated on the project's back end.
- Product stock levels on the website come from 1C inventory management: synchronization is implemented on the project's back end.
- SMS code verification via MTS — also integrated on the project's back end.
- Admin interfaces for staff: internal data and operations, with loading, success, error, and empty states.
- Connecting the front end to the backend API: request and response formats, required fields, error handling, and edge cases were agreed with the back-end developer.
Technical Details
Next.js, component architecture, backend API (a separate back-end developer). The project's back-end integrations: YooKassa, 1C (inventory → stock levels on the website), MTS (SMS codes); the front end works with them via the API.
Result
The client side of an e-commerce platform was built from scratch: the store and internal staff interfaces, working via the API, with checkout and online payments. The component architecture makes it possible to grow sections and add features without reworking the client side.
My Role
Front-end development and client-side architecture alignment; collaboration with the designer and the back-end developer.
